Late low light by prperold Late low light by prperold
Somtimes the best light only comes when it is very dark already. If you look very closely, you'll see the iconic Table Mountain in the distance.

Blend of 16 and 61 second exposures

Superb photo...realy beautiful!!
When you say Blend of 16 what do you mean? (16 different photos???!)

It's a blend of 2 photos. The one is a 16 second shot at f/9 (for the sky), and the other is a 61 second shot, also f/9, for the foreground. The two were then merged into a single shot in photoshop.

Oh really... it must have been dark then for a 1min shot at f/9 with no NDs!! Nice work!

Yeah really dark. The colours only came out that late :)

Thats crazy! Does it always happen like that or is it as rare as I am thinking? Like a twilight sunset?

:iconprperold:
prperold Featured By Owner Feb 9, 2010
No not always. The sunset was ok a bit earlier, but the late ambient glow was really nice on this day. To the eye the colours were quite dull, but the long exposure brings it out :)

Yeah for sure... not much cloud movement tho... unless that was your 16s frame?
